The application provides an efficient way to monitor the status of your preferred multiplayer Minecraft servers without the need to launch the full Minecraft client on your desktop.

Note: This application is not a Minecraft game nor does it function as a chat app. It serves purely as a monitoring tool for Minecraft servers; a standard client such as MineChat is required to connect to these servers.

Features include:

• Add, remove, and edit servers in your monitoring list (simply tap and hold on a server to access the editing options).
• For each server listed, the following information is displayed:
• • The server's favicon
  • The server's MOTD (message of the day)
  • The number of connected users and the maximum capacity
  • The Minecraft version being operated by the server
  • Usernames of connected players, if provided, or a sample from larger servers

Currently, the application is optimized for servers running Minecraft version 1.7 or newer, as it utilizes the updated Server Ping protocol.

A manual refresh is necessitated at this time (users can tap the refresh button in the action bar or refresh by rotating their device). Future updates aim to include automatic refresh intervals while the application is open, with potential for background checks and notifications upon user connections.

This application is open-source; contributions are encouraged. Pull requests are welcome on the project's GitHub page at https://github.com/justdave/MCStatus, which is also the appropriate venue for bug reports and feature requests.

Note to developers: The backend class designed for server interactions can be seamlessly integrated into your own applications. Should you utilize this code, please consider submitting any modifications via GitHub to enhance functionality for all users.
